Social Dances
Dance...Don't just learn to dance!
At Simply Dancin' we want you to get as much enjoyment out of your dancing as possible.
This not only means dancing for fun but also socialising and making new friends with
people who share your interest in dancing.
We run 2 dances: a Friday Night Social (every week) and a Saturday Night Dance (twice a month).
SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE
First dance for 2012: SATURDAY 21st JANUARY
Twice a month -
1st and 3rd SATURDAY of EVERY MONTH!
Join us on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month for a great night of dancing.
8pm - late.
Dance till you drop! We start at 8pm and continue playing your favourites all evening
long. Tell the babysitter you won't be home before 12.
Dance class beforehand - 7 - 8pm
At 7pm, before every social dance, Simply Dancin' runs a one hour dance class. This is a great opportunity to learn some of the dances that are played at the social or brush up on ones you already know. The dance being taught will be announced at the previous social and via our email and facebook group. The cost is $10 per person, and if you stay on for the social you will pay only $10 instead of $15.
All styles of ballroom.
During the night you will be able to dance and fine tune your standard ballroom,
latin, rock'n'roll, new vogue and street latin. We also play some of your favourite
such as the Rock'n'Roll Waltz and other novelty dances..
Light supper provided.
A light supper is provided half way through the evening, plus tea, coffee and water.
You may bring other food or nibblies for your table.
No partner necessary.
You will recognise other members of the studio, and if you're new to our dance you
will soon feel right at home. Everyone is there for a good time and are eager to
make you feel comfortable and help you find your feet.
Everyone is welcome!
You do not need to be a pupil at Simply Dancin' to come along and enjoy the Saturday Night Dance or the
class beforehand. Come by yourself or with a friend or partner. Our friendly environment will ensure you
feel right at home.
Better value than the movies!
For $15 you get over 4 hours of dancing, supper, tea & coffee, and not to mention
the company of friendly people with the common interest of dancing.
